"...I just wanted to express my thanks at the wonderful service you provided for us with Adams birth. I know it was a long, slow boring process waiting for labor to actually start, and having another woman to talk to, who didn't get bored hearing about every single contraction was so helpful! I was so impressed with your knowledge, and how attentive you were to the feelings and discomforts of a laboring mother. From the castor oil and birthing ball, flipping channels and the babies head popping out, it was a very memorable experience and I'm so glad we had your help, as well as your company! I only wish that the nurse hadn't been in the room when Adam decided to surprise us, and that you could have helped deliver him. (Note: Rosie's midwife had actually left the hospital, thinking that it would be quite some time before Adam's birth!) However, I am so thankful to you for catching that moment on video for us.
I really appreciate all the support and belief you gave me about natural birth! I am so happy that I was able to get through labor and birth without an epidural, in large part to your encouragement. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for being there with Jason and I, and for sharing such a special, joyful moment with us. If we decide to have another baby in a few years, we hope to be able to have your help again, maybe this time as the midwife! :-)..."

"[I found most helpful...] The constant support and encouragement, combined with knowledge. I appreciated the foot and back massages, as well as your calm demeanor. Jennifer did a great job of listening and encouraging, but never forcing me into anything. I'm convinced that this combination enabled me to give birth drug free.
Keep up the excellent work! I would absolutely recommend you! The Labour and Delivery nurses are so busy that they don't have time to really guide your through the process, which can be scary for a first time mom."

"Jen showed me that I had options and that I was in control of my birth.
Jen stayed by my side for two days in the hospital while I was making decisions [and in labour]. Also, if I
ever had a question before and after my birth I was always welcome to call her.
I'm not sure that there is anything that Jen needs to improve on. I just hope she stays the same warm person. I would recommend other people to have Jen as a doula because they will have an all around better birth."

"Dear Jen,
Thank you so much for your help during our labor and birth experience. Luke and I both appreciate all your help and the comfort you brought to both of us.
...Also, let me know if you ever need to use me as a reference...I'd be happy to help."
